Comfy shoes no matter what - almost!
My whirlwind trip has finally come to
an end and although I was a little hesitant going with my
daughter, it was a good decision. The only disagreement was how
to read a map. Admitting that my reduced hearing ( I do not need a
hearing aide ) was a problem at airports and train stations was a bit difficult. Having a companion who could interpret the messages
was reassuring, if it meant that I didn't miss
the trip! The plan to take only take the basics was lined with
good intentions; try and pack a few days before and cull cull cull
would be a note to myself next time travel is on the menu. Carrying a
heavy case of unwanted clothing leaves less room for anything to be bought. Instead of
taking the three pairs of shoes, all that was necessary was a new
pair of Nike walkers. They supported the arches and bunions - an
outcome of a of a life well lived. The exception to their suitability was a visit to
a three hatted restaurant in London where a bottle of
wine was 125 pounds. Unfortunately my Nike walkers were a little out of place here, even
for a Bazza McKenzie.
